School Supply Drive

The National Honor Society, along with the National Honor Society Advisor, Bob Cicogna, recently sponsored a school supply drive. Homes and schools were devastated after Hurricane Dorian, which hit in August of 2019. The National Honor Society gathered supplies and sent them to Brevard County Schools in Florida.

Mark Mullins, Brevard County School Superintendent, expressed his gratitude:

“Dear Mr. Cicogna and the NHS students of River High,

I wanted to personally thank you for your generosity and thoughtfulness in gathering school supplies for Brevard students who were impacted by Hurricane Dorian. You will be happy to know that the supplies were delivered to deserving students from Saturn Elementary Schools in Cocoa Florida, whose neighborhoods are prone to flooding… Your leadership is admired by those of us here in Brevard County, and we truly appreciate your gesture. All the very best in your future endeavors!”

Teachers and students also sent our students a quick thank you video! Great job NHS on helping other students in their time of need!
