Welcome back, Monroe Central

Posted on: October 2, 2020

Welcome back to school, Monroe Central students, faculty/staff, and parents! We definitely didn’t have a traditional beginning to the 2020-2021 school year, but I’m happy to finally see our students back together in-person. At the very least, it feels like a sliver of normalcy!

I would like to recognize our staff and students for the flexibility and patience they have demonstrated through the end of last year and the opening weeks of this year. I’d also like to acknowledge the parents in our district. I know that in the spring and the beginning of this year, we have asked you to shoulder much of the burden. You have been active participants in your child’s remote learning, even as you adapt to changes in your own jobs and households. Again, we greatly appreciate your flexibility and patience.

We’re off to a great school year! As we finish up homecoming week, it’s heart-warming to see the pride our students have for our school. Students have been diligent in following safety and social distancing protocols, becoming true role models for each other and the staff.

We’re proud of you, Monroe Central -- let’s make this year great!
