MC Business Professionals of America competes in Region 5 Skills Competitions

The Monroe Central Business Professionals of America students competed in the Region 5 Skills Competitions the first week of February, with many of Monroe Central’s students placing highly among their competitors. 

The mission of Business Professionals of America is to develop and empower student leaders to discover their passion and change the world by creating unmatched opportunities in learning, professional growth, and service. In participating in the Region 5 Skills Competitions, students competed in a variety of identified business skills, including Word Processing, Health Administration Leadership, and Computer Network Technology.

  • Tyler Craig - 5th place PC Servicing and Troubleshooting; 1st place Computer Network Technology

  • Kylie Knowlton - 1st Place Health Administration Leadership/Special Topics

  • Regan Hamilton - 1st Place Fundamental Desktop Publishing

  • Elizabeth Roderick - 4th Place Advanced Word Processing

  • Stephanie Ogden - 4th Place Intermediate Word Processing

  • Lauren Hamilton - 3rd Place Advanced Word Processing

  • Wesley Christy - 1st Place Extemporaneous Speech

  • Jenna Essig & Kylie Knowlton - 3rd Place Podcast Production Team

  • Elizabeth Roderick, Stephanie Ogden, Lauren Hamilton & Wesley Christy - 1st Place Administrative Support Team

The students will advance to the State Competition in March -- be sure to wish them luck!
