Livestock Selection course
The MC Livestock Selection course has been working in advanced nutrition for the start of the 2020-2021 school year. Their unit began with learning the different digestive systems and the basic nutritional needs for those types of systems. Students also learned and discussed the anatomy and physiology of the digestive tract.
“Students used animal models and materials that were provided to create a 3D digestive system for their assigned species in order to better understand the digestive system,” says teacher, Ms. Ruble. “Next, they are working toward the different nutrients to create their own feed for a species of their choice.”
