Homecoming hit

Posted on: October 2, 2020

We hope you had a great time during our Homecoming Week! While it looked slightly different due to COVID-19, we are glad we still got to celebrate with you all and bring a bit of normalcy back to our lives. This week, we featured themed days:

  • Mopey Monday - where students wore their laziest outfits, or their PJs!

  • Tropical Tuesday - because who doesn’t want to be on a beach right now?

  • Western Wednesday - we all dreamed of being in a western once… right?

  • Pink Out Thursday - this one doesn’t need an explanation.

  • School Spirit Friday - because we love Monroe Central!

On Thursday, MCHS students were invited to a special project hosted by Mrs. Meade’s speech class and the Homecoming Court. This project entertained students and allowed Mrs. Meade’s class and the court to practice their public speaking skills.

We also hosted the Crowning Ceremony on Thursday at the football stadium. Congratulations to our Homecoming Court:

  • Luke Burkhart

  • Isaac Knowlton

  • Auston Hogue

  • Garet Gramer

  • Alex Kilburn

  • Stephanie Ogden

  • Shelby Brewer

  • Morgan Kendall

  • Lauren Hamilton

  • Elizabeth Roderick

And a special welcome to our 2020-2021 King and Queen, Austin Hogue and Morgan Kendall! Congratulations to all of the participants, band, and candidates.

While we were unable to have a dance this year, we are committed to making it up to you; if circumstances change and dances become allowable, the school will host a Winter Semi-Formal for students.
